Lake Daylesford is close by with it's tranquil water and shady trees. Picnic on it's banks, enjoy a meal at The Boathouse Cafe, or feed the swans and ducks. Browse at the Book Barn or enjoy the bushwalking tracks around the lake shoreline.

Collectors and browsers may wish to visit the antique and craft shops and the Sunday Market held at the Daylesford Railway Station.

Garden lovers will enjoy the historic Botanic Gardens atop Wombat Hill, overlooking the town where it is possible to drive around and view the scenery without leaving your car.

 

 

Make time for a relaxing massage and spa at the Hepburn Springs Spa Complex . Don't forget to fill bottles at one of the many local mineral springs to take home with you.

 

 

   

The picturesque 18 hole Hepburn Springs Golf Course is but one of the many local sporting venues that include tennis, fishing, canoeing and swimming.

 

Visit some of the nearby wineries or the Swiss Italian Farm "Lavandula". See the Daylesford museum or fossick for a bargain in the antique stores. Check out the galleries or just sit for a coffee in one of the famous Daylesford cafes.

 

Daylesford is a wonderful base for visiting Ballarat, Maldon, Castlemaine and the sleepy towns of Clunes and Dunolly.
